About the Journal

Journal of Public Health and Medical Studies invites submission of papers on any aspect of public health research and practice. Papers reporting findings from any region of the world are welcome. We welcome papers on the theory and practice of the whole spectrum of public health and medical studies across the domains of health improvement, health protection and service improvement, with a particular focus on the translation of science into action. Papers on the role of public health ethics and law are welcome. We aim to promote the highest standards of public health practice internationally through the timely communication of current, best scientific evidence. Our main criteria for grading manuscripts are scientific originality and impact, as well as relevance to public health and medical studies practice

 

Peer Review Process

To generate a reputable publication, all articles received by the publisher secretariat will serve the following processes:

  1. Editorial team will review compliance with the writing guidelines.
  2. Feature articles vary in length from 3,000 to 6,000 words. 
  3. The number of references: minimum 50 references and 70% originated by the last 7 years publication. Of the minimum references amount, 70% come from primary sources, namely articles published in scientific journals/magazines. For historical study materials, classic literature published more than 7 years can be used.
  4. The plagiarism check will be undertaken using Turnitin. The maximum similarity check result is 15%.
  5. All articles are subject to blind peer review by expert referees selected from the Editorial Board, Advisory Board, or specialists in a particular field of study, prior to acceptance for publication.
  6. Most submissions receive an initial editorial decision within 4 weeks until 16 weeks from the date of the submission.
  7. An article must be reviewed no later than one month from the time the manuscript is delivered by the editorial team.

 

Article Processing Charge

This journal charges the following author fees. The article processing charge (APC) is Rp. 0.000.000,00 and the author will receive a complimentary hard copy of our journal. We are also offer fast-track publication. Authors can choose this option by contacting the editor and requesting that their manuscript be considered for Fast Publication. Authors should pay an additional fee to complete the fast-track peer review process. The APC for fast-track is Rp. 0.000.000,00.

The APC covers the costs of peer review administration, DOI number, professional production of articles in PDF and printed version, as well as dissemination of published papers. There are no charges for rejected articles, no submission charges. APC will not be returned for retracted articles due to misconduct.
